About Us
DB Pargman Consulting LLC is a specialized HR consulting firm focused exclusively on One-on-One and Group Sensitivity Training. For more than two decades, we’ve helped organizations turn moments of workplace tension into opportunities for clarity, stronger teamwork, and better business outcomes.
Founded in 1999 by Dr. Deena B. Pargman, our work is rooted in her belief that people perform at their best when they feel understood, respected, and accountable. Although Deena passed away in 2020, the firm continues in her honor—modernizing her proven training frameworks to meet today’s workplace realities.
Our Mission
We help organizations move beyond conflict, not dwell on it. Our programs are not about punishment, blame, or adjudicating fault. They’re about improving communication and understanding so that your people can work together more effectively—and your business can thrive.
When team members learn how to recognize and address sensitivity issues constructively, productivity goes up, collaboration improves, turnover goes down, and your bottom line benefits.
What We Do
One-on-One Sensitivity Training
Personalized, confidential coaching designed to help individuals understand the impact of their behavior, learn new communication tools, and re-engage productively with their teams.
Group Sensitivity Training
Interactive, facilitator-led workshops that help teams work through misunderstandings, build shared language, and create stronger working relationships—so they can get back to focusing on performance and results.
How We Work
Human-Centered, Performance-Driven
We meet people where they are, with the goal of helping them work better together—not labeling, shaming, or dividing.
Empathy and Accountability in Balance
Real progress happens when people feel safe enough to learn and are expected to contribute to a respectful workplace.
Practical, Not Theoretical
Practical, Not Theoretical
Focused on Your Bottom Line
Sensitivity training isn’t just about “getting along.” It’s about increasing efficiency, morale, retention, and productivity—all of which directly impact profitability.
Our Legacy & Future
Deena Pargman founded DB Pargman Consulting in 1999 with a simple yet profound insight: most organizations don’t falter because their strategy is wrong—they trip up when people aren’t connecting. Deena brought a unique and deeply human perspective to the world of workplace conflict. At a time when most anti-harassment trainings were positioned as punishment—someone had done something “bad” and needed to be “fixed”—she recognized that most situations were far more nuanced. Whether at a small family business, a Fortune 500 company, a local agency, or within the U.S. military, Deena found that workplace conflicts rarely fit neatly into good/bad or blame/punishment boxes.
By creating a space where key personnel could speak openly and be heard—not by “someone from HR” or “someone from Legal,” but by an outsider with both expertise and the patience to listen—she consistently helped teams break through difficult situations that others could not. Clients responded enthusiastically, inviting her back not just when problems arose, but proactively, because they saw that when their people moved beyond interpersonal barriers, they became more effective, more productive, and more fulfilled at work – all of which drives bottom line performance and profitablity.
Though Deena passed away in 2020, today we continue her mission in her memory—honoring her voice, her evidence-informed methods, and her belief that collaboration is the cornerstone of business success. Coached directly by Deena, our trainers today carry her legacy forward: modernizing her trusted approach to reflect evolving workplace dynamics while staying true to her core philosophy—when people work well together, business thrives.

What Our Clients Say
We first reached out to DB Pargman Consulting to respond to a particular situation. Our exec came back from the One-on-One training so impressed that he insisted we bring DBP back to share the program with all of our executives and managers. Now all our executives and managers have gone through the program to dive deeper and help us be our BEST!
We thought it was important to do some sensitivity training so we brought in DB Pargman Consulting. Our people LOVED the training and kept asking me when they could return! We do a lot of training and I can assure you that DBP is among the most popular and most requested trainers I have put in front of my people.
I have had the opportunity to bring DBP into my company to respond to a particular incident. It’s not usually a popular subject, but this program was very well received. Since then I have referred DB Pargman to many of my colleagues and peers at other companies and I am always thanked for an outstanding referral.
I appreciated DB Pargman’s approach and perspective – they are about building skills in a non-punitive manner. I sent an important person to sensitivity training and he was resistant at first and did not want to go, but when he came back he was very grateful for the opportunity to learn and improve his professional skill set – he actually thanked me for the opportunity and recommended that others receive the training.
